These cats and dogs are ready to trade homelessness for snuggles, snacks, and a forever home—and they’re hoping it’s yours.

When you adopt from OKCO Humane Society, you’re not just giving a pet a second chance—you’re also making room for us to rescue another animal from the Okmulgee Animal Shelter. That’s a two-for-one kind of good deed.

All of our adoptables are fully vetted and ready to go. That means spay or neuter, vaccinations, deworming, a microchip, and a heartworm test—everything they need to start their new life with you.

SASSY

Sassy is a sweet little orange tabby, about 4 months old, who’s still learning that the world is a pretty great place. She can be a bit timid at first, especially in new situations, but once she feels safe, her playful kitten side comes shining through. She loves romping around with her sister, chasing toys, and engaging in classic kitten mischief.

With a little patience and a gentle home, Sassy will blossom into a loving companion who enjoys playtime, cozy naps, and growing more confident every day. She’d do especially well as an indoor kitty in a home that understands shy kittens just need a bit of time to feel brave. Sassy has bonded with her sister, Tao, so they will need to be adopted together.

Sassy has been vetted, vaccinated and spayed and is ready for her new home along with her sister, Tao.

TAO

At 4 months old, Tao is a curious little orange tabby with a big personality packed into a tiny body. She’s super adventurous and playful, always ready to explore her surroundings, chase toys, and turn everyday objects into entertainment. When she’s done zooming around, Tao happily switches into cuddle mode — she’s incredibly sweet and loves being held, snuggled, and doted on. Tao would do well as an indoor kitty, and like most kittens, she’s learning about the world one paw at a time and will thrive in a home that’s ready for playtime, love, and lots of laughs. Tao is the perfect mix of spunky and snuggly, and she has bonded with her sister, Sassy so they will need to be adopted together.

AVERY

We bring you tiny and perfect, Avery. She fits into the palm of your hand. She’s quiet and observes life with gratitude to be in a safe place.

She is likely a boxer/staffy mix and is one of seven puppies that were rescued from the Okmulgee Shelter and are now in foster care until she finds her forever home.

Avery has been vetted, had her first round of boosters and will be spayed when she's ready. She can't wait for her new home!

Reese’s is a total sweetie and is also the life of the party. She has a big personality you will immediately fall in love with.

NORA

Nora is very sweet and calm, loves her cuddles but when it comes to food her food always comes first. She loves play time! Her favorite toy is ropes and anything she can play tug of war with just like her brother Nacho.

She is good with other cats and dogs, very affectionate and loves being cuddled up by her brother, Nacho and foster parents.

Recently rescued from the Okmulgee shelter, this 2-year-old calico sweetheart is full of love. She adores people, settles in quickly, and has already charmed everyone in her foster home. Friendly, affectionate, and endlessly deserving, she’s ready to trade her rescue story for a forever family.

LACEY

At nearly 2 years old, this beautiful girl absolutely loves people and would make the perfect snuggle buddy for any family. She's full of love, playful energy and cuddle sessions galore.

Lacey is probably not a good fit for homes with livestock, but she gets along great with just about everything and everyone else!

Lacey is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines.

Little Bean is about 1 year old and was recently pulled from the Okmulgee Shelter. She has been vetted, vaccinated, and spayed. She is gentle, friendly, loving and loves to snuggle and give kisses. This sweet girl most likely had a litter in the recent past.
